A beer can lying on the side of the road.

Diminished hopes, and aspirations that never came to be.

Used to be a great place to grow up.

Now is not even that. Rural.

What happens to a town when, for two or three generations,

The most talented, educated, ambitious, creative

Leave town and never look back?

And no one like that moves here

Anymore.
