The Beatles. What can I say that hasn't already been said? They were the best. Click here for a list of my favorite Beatles songs.

As a member of The Beatles, Paul McCartney wrote consistently outstanding songs. Since then, only a few of his songs have achieved the same level of quality. But some do! Click here for my list of the very best songs from Paul McCartney's post-Beatles career.

John Lennon, we still grieve that your great talent was snuffed out by a senseless act of violence. Here are my favorite songs from John Lennon's painfully short post-Beatles career.

with gladness in our hearts. Here are my favorite songs from George Harrison's post-Beatles career.

The Viola Concerto (1951) by Hungarian composer Gyula Dávid (1913-1977) is a fine example of an undeservedly neglected work. No recording of this interesting piece is yet available on CD, so in the meantime give this 1961 LP recording a listen (Hungaroton SLPX 12452; Pál Lukács, viola; Hungarian State Orchestra; János Ferencsik, conductor). As soon as this work is released on CD, please let me know and I will remove the LP recording from my web site. Happy Listening!
